It is hard to believe that I have been writing Bad Cat Chris for over ten years now. My first blog post was posted on June 3, 2012. For some reason, I thought it was June 12. I was getting ready to write a post about it today when I discovered my error. Now I feel like the thunder has gone out of the celebration.
I looked back over the life of the blog and found my most popular posts. Here are the top three.

I have 845 followers through WordPress, 28 through email, and I have no idea how many through other sources. I also have 3129 followers on Facebook (even though I still can’t share blog posts there because Facebook thinks my blog is spam). In addition, I have 1033 followers on Twitter, 886 on YouTube, and 220 on Intagram.
I believe that one of these two photos is the first picture that I took of Chris. They were taken at the shelter on October 3, 2009 when I brought my wife with me to see him.
We did not adopt Chris then. We had a vacation coming up and my wife had a business trip after that, or vis versa. I believe Chris was adopted and returned because of his bad behavior after this photo was taken and before we adopted him on November 14.
Here is the last photo I have of Chris. It’s not great but it is the most recent. I took this last Sunday after I took Frankie for a walk. I always take Frankie out first and then Chris goes out after Frankie comes home. I mean after I pick up Frankie and carry him home.

Well congratulations……I hate to admit it but I really hadn’t focused on my blogaversary either and when it came and went – well – I just realized it’s such a part of me after all these years I just don’t think about how much time has passed! Congrats. Ten years. I started earlier than you did but, abandoned my site for about four years.
Chris has gotten tubby, just like my Ollie.
Thanks. Yes, I worry about Chris and his weight. I have cut way back on his dry food and try to push the wet food but he is still fat.
Ken has been over feeding him. I keep trying to tell him “not so much” but, he thinks Ollie will starve in the middle of the night without a bowl full of food. He’s had two big dogs, a Chocolate Lab & a Golden Retriever. I think he thinks he’s still feeding a dog. Ollie is big for cat, anyway but…damn. Ken ignores me and I end up removing food in the morning. Ollie doesn’t understand.
I do put a little dry food in the bowl when we go to bed just to get the cats out of our room so I can close the door. Whenever I put food in the bowl I put just enough to last about 5 minutes.
Happy Belated 10th!!!! I think I’m at 12 years now….I stopped counting when Cody and Dakota passed…now that I rarely blog I also don’t count them since I’m not consistently blogging like I used to.
I understand that. I have a three other blogs that I post on only occasionally.
