Last year while fitness centers were still on lockdown, I purchased what is called a Power Tower as a way to work out at home. This one had the added benefit of having a retractable workout bench.

The room was pretty cramped until we brought the chairs to West Virginia. Then I was able to put the bench down so Frankie could use it.

The truth is, like most home workout equipment, it rarely got used. Rarely by me but Frankie loved hanging out on the bench. It was long enough for him to stretch out on and high enough to see what was going on outside. When we started going to the gym again, the bench and tower went from rarely being used to never being used, except by Frankie.
Now that we are back, and with us came a boatload of stuff from the other house, Rose is insisting that I sell it to make room for her new rocking chair that we brought with us. This time I had no defense and posted it for sale. Sorry, Frankie.
Uhoh……Frankie won’t be happy but he still has his cat tower so maybe he will forgive you – EVENTUALLY.
Hugs, Pam
Frankie has plenty of places to hang out so he will have to get over it.
that’s how power towers end. but at least you installed the tower… ours was sold in the box it came 6 years ago hahahahahaha
At least you didn’t waste time putting it together. 🙂
Mom had a treadmill that became a catbed!!!
It’s the same story everywhere. My wife wanted an elliptical machine so I bought one for her. After a year and maybe two workouts, I sold it for a big loss.
My human would pick workout equipment over a rocking chair. Every.Single.Time.
That is the smart move.
Oh well…it was nice while it was there, Frankie.
All good workout equiptment must come to an end. 🙂
Poor Frankie. That is so wrong.
He will just have to get over it.
We’d have sold some of our Mom’s stuff to make room MOL!
🙂
Mine suffered cat claw fever almost as soon as it was set up. I was new to cats at the time, and was a bit scandalized that they ripped up the bench on the fairly expensive exercise machine. I see you had the “cat smarts” to know to put something over the bench to minimize any clawing!
To be honest, there are several claw holes in it and the towel didn’t go on until after the claw holes were made.
I feel your pain!
You mean literally? 🙂
In some sort of transcendent way, I suppose, like the pain of realizing a lot of money spent means nothing to a kitty girl or boy if a chair, exercise equipment, etc. feels like a good place to exercise one’s murder mittens!
Oh blerg. Selling it right out from under him! Start looking for a new hangout, F.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
So far nobody wants to pay me money to store it in their home so Frankie still has it for now.
