When my Mom came to visit she brought a treasure trove of old photographs. I have been scanning them but I left my good scanner in Florida and even with the good scanner it is time consuming. With my current scanner I have to be very selective about which pictures I choose to scan. I chose this picture because I have very fond memories of our dog, Tascha, and I have very few photos of her. This brings back good memories.

This is a photo of Tascha, Me, and my brother Matt, taken in May, 1976. My dad brought Tascha home in April after she was found wandering near a home of one of his friends. She was the best dog I ever had and passed away in April of 1985, almost exactly ten years after we got her.
Old photos bring back memories and are valuable in so many ways!
Hugs, Pam
That is why I always liked photography.
oh we love it… we had a doberman too Ajax, this is the best friend you can have… and no one is brave enough to bug you with this companion ;O)
We never had to lock our doors back then. 🙂
The color in old photos is so soft. You have many memories in this photo, the whole family, pets, the yard, enough for hours to memorize.
I noticed many of the old photos have a warm look, which I don’t understand because it seems like the warm colors are the first to fade away. Any time you see an old photo hanging on a wall it seems like only the blue and black colors have survived.
Awww… She looks like a really nice doggy, for sure. PURRS
Yes, she was. Thanks.
It is fun to look back and remember, we have thousands and thousands of old family photos.
It sure is. My task of scanning them is overwhelming.
What wonderful memories. I wrote a poem once, entitled, “My Life in Photographs.” So many of my memories come from looking at old photographs. When I was a kid, and we went to m grandparent’s house, I would always spend at least part of the visit looking through my grandmother’s photograph albums. I now have those and still love going through them. Thanks for sharing.
We are luck to live at a time when those memories can be captured in a photo.
Great picture, it is so nice to have the old photos!
Yes, it sure is.
Old photos are so nice. You relax with a hot cup of tea and enjoy the memories
That is a good idea.
What a great memory!
Yes, Tascha was a great dog.
That is a sweet photo.
Thanks. 🙂
I bet it’s hard to decide which memories to scan.
It is hard. Scanning is only half the work. The rest is figuring out how to label them.
