Chris is a very needy cat and always has to be touching someone. He can be quite annoying, especially to Frankie, but Frankie is usually pretty good about tolerating Chris.
“Usually” means about 70% of the time. About 20% of the time Frankie just gets up and leaves. The rest of the time there is hissing and whacking going on.

Well “tolerating” is sure a lot better than “whacking”…..! Sometimes we just want to be left alone when we’re having a good snooze but then again – snuggling is sometimes comforting.

I love needy cats! If they’re independent and don’t sit on laps, I kind of don’t see the point …

No, but mostly their hiss is worse than their bite.
Does Frankie prefer to sleep solo? Kommando would rather sleep with me than alone. In the winter, the two cats sleep together, but in the summer the sleep apart. It’s all a matter of body temperature I their case
Frankie will fall asleep on my lap but he does not seek out the company of the other cats, however when the other cats come to him he will tolerate it.
