My wife had a metal try on the refrigerator to help keep the cats out of the cabinet. It didn’t work. They would just push it to the side and open the cabinet door anyway. One day, one of our boys pushed that tray off the fridge and dented the wood floor. That’s when I decided to not put the tray back. I instead put up a makeshift lock using a spatula. Rose then put a rug up there and voilà, instant cat perch.
it’s good to have your place near the tasty stuff :o)
That is actually the alcohol cabinet, which may explain it. 🙂
Looks like the humans were outsmarted – it’s only a matter of time before that spatula disappears!
Chris already broke in.
PERFECT! The spatula was a good idea AND the rug was even better!
The spatula is temporary until I can come up with something better, but the rug is perfect up there.

That is too funny 🙂 Chris can be comfortable while he breaks into the cabinet .
At least he will be a happy cat.

I wish that was true.
You mean you didn’t expect them to perch up there? That’s one of our favorite places to sit. 🙂
That rug just came out of the wash. I think Rose put it up there just to get it out of the way until she could trade it for a dirty one. I expected them to perch up there without a rug since the tray is out of the way but it seems perfect with the rug.
and they LOVE it!!!
They sure do. 🙂
Chris, you big galoot! 😘
