I know that biting can be a sign of affection but sometimes, if you have a bad cat, they can go a little overboard. Chris was like that when we first got him and it was the reason that the couple who adopted him before us returned him to the shelter. I always hoped he would grow out of that behavior, and he has improved slightly, but once a biter, always a biter.
This morning I just wanted to drink my coffee and read my emails but Chris wouldn’t stop biting me. I managed to record the tail end of his biting frenzy for your viewing pleasure.
He doesn’t do that to me! He tries to but stops when I yell at him…your special!
He just knows the pecking order.
That is too funny 🙂 They are obviously love bites- BIG love bites.
I guess Chris really loves me.
That was fun to watch!
Mes used to dos that!!! Mommy or Daddy used to puts me in a room alone when me started. Mes still does it sometimes when mes don’t wants to be petted. And mes bites HARD! Does yous bite hard Chris?
Kisses
Nellie
Chris doesn’t bite too hard but it still hurts a little and is very annoying.
OMC, that’s what Binga does sometimes! She thinks they are love nips – they are more like love chomps!
That’s exactly what I would call it.
Those are some really big love bites!
Yes, aren’t I special? 😉
Chris LOVES you really big ! Purrs
I love Chris too but I don’t bite him… mostly. 🙂
Reblogged this on Bad Cat Chris and commented:
Here is a post from over six and a half years ago. Chris was still a biter then and he is still a biter now.
That boy is persistent! LOL The only time Ted bites me is (strangely) if he’s asked for me to brush him and I do but maybe for longer than he wanted me to (!)…….go figure…..I’m not psychic after all – who knows how long a cat wants to be brushed??? Obviously not me – I have scars on my arms to prove it. Cats can be rather mysterious after all.

When I met Rose she had a cat named Sneakers. He would bite too after an undetermined amount of petting.
Love that name and his “SNEAKINESS” about brushing made it a very appropriate name for him. If I keep an eye on Teddy’s eyes while I’m brushing him I can tell it’s coming – they get DARK AS NIGHT and I know it’s almost “OUCH TIME” !
Sneakers was a good name. He actually got that name because he was found behind a bar named Sneakers.
Reesie is the biter here. Mom is trying to get her to stop.
It seems pretty common.
