Dad waited a reasonable amount of time and then encouraged him to move along.
He’s resting up so he can walk some more.
I’m sure if he was outside alone he would spend a lot of time in one place.

What do you do when he naps during a walk? Do you have to just stand and wait?
I wait for a while and then encourage him to move. If he thinks I will pick him up he moves.
our second bulldog did this…walk ….maybe…five steps…then it was break time 🐾‼️ needless to
say we never got very far 😸
