Our cats have their own spots. Floki lies on the cat perch to the left and Frankie lies to the right. Lately though, Frankie has been stealing Floki’s spot.

That is not the only spot of Floki’s he’s been stealing. Floki likes to hang out under the bed. He’s not one of those cats that spends all day under the bed but if there is ever a time when we can’t find him, he is probably there. He lies on top of a large, folded pet carrier that we keep, in addition to a smaller carrier, in case we ever need to evacuate. My wife even puts a towel on it, so he is more comfortable.
Frankie was never an under the bed kind of cat but since returning from vacation I have found him under the bed in Floki’s spot twice. Either something has changed with him, or he is taunting Floki for some reason.

Hmm….either he felt free to be more mischievous with Mom and Dad gone OR maybe with you two gone, he actually decided to join Floki under there a time or two for companionship. I’m thinking that scenario is a no go but otherwise the reason may be one of those “mysteries of life” !
Hugs, Pam
Cheeto has begun to do the same thing to Murphy…steal his spot. Sometimes wrassling breaks out as a result.
