The other day, as Frankie and I were walking, we encountered a group of vultures attempting to remove roadkill from our streets. Frankie was very interested in them and pursued them more like a reporter trying to get an interview than a cat trying to catch dinner.

Wow–those cars didn’t want to slow down, did they? And Frankie just wanted to get a story for the evening news!
That sure is what it seemed like.
We see a lot of them around here – riding the wind…….also with all the farms and little windy roads through the woods/farm areas there’s plenty of critters who don’t make it across the roads or are unprotected in the fields for the vultures to be attracted to.
Hugs, Pam
Vultures serve a good role in the ecosystem.
WOW, that was a bunch of those big birds Frankie!
Nothing attracts a crowd like good roadkill.
Frankie is a brave boy.
Yes he is. Whenever we encounter other cats or dogs, Frankie is more likely to move towards them.
The vultures/buzzards are so important, nature’s vacuum cleaners, similar to the ants. I try to leave them be when I see them, but I do understand Frankie’s fascination.
Frankie is one brave dude considering the vultures are as big as he is. They certainly weren’t going to let him scare them away from their meal. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid & Sawyer, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Kizmet, Audrey, Raleigh, Gibbs & Tali
