Today, I have two memories to share with you. The first is Puck and Frankie with Chris in the background. This was taken on October 4, 2014.

You can’t take out a suitcase without attracting the attention of cats.
The second photo is of my grandmother, Sadie, my mom’s mom. She would have been 109 today. This photo was taken in October 1987.

Not coincidentally, Joe, one of the protagonists in my Last Healer Mysteries series, was born on October 3, 1916.

Fabulous memories. Happy Heavenly Birthday to your grandmother.
Thank you.
Happy birthday to your granny. And look at the cats! Puck looks just like Catorze!
Yes, but not as mischievous. 🙂
Thanks for sharing these beautiful memories.
Thank you.
Those were both terrific photos!
Thanks.
That was a sweet way to remember your grandma.
Thanks.
So, did the cats get to go along … ?
Love those (like you) who take a moment to share the ones who came before, our wonderful grands and greats and great-grands … we owe much to them, don’t we.
I don’t think the cats really want to go along.
That first photo is purrfect. We have a huge collection of photos with cats on or in suitcases. They are just another form of a box. Your grandma looks really nice. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona & Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
Thanks. She was a true matriarch. I think the entire extended family was kept close because of her
Such beautiful memories! It speaks to your great love, giving one of your characters your grandmother’s birthday.
I remembered my other grandmother, too. Joe’s pregnant mother came from Croatia in 1916. My father’s mother came from Croatia at three years old in 1921.
That’s interesting. My grandmother was born on October 3, 1903. When I needed a c-section for my son, I chose October 3
That’s quite a coincidence.
