Two Sad Anniversaries

Yesterday was the anniversary of my dad’s passing in 1999. He was the kind of man that could do anything he set his mind to. I still miss him. Here he is in 1968.

Yesterday was also the anniversary of Puck’s passing in 2018. Puck was a good boy who suffered from urinary problems. He died way too young. Here he is at my sister-in-law’s house just before we adopted him.

Coincidentally, I was cleaning out my full email inbox yesterday and came across a document I scanned and emailed myself a while ago. It was a vaccination certificate that showed Puck’s birthday as September 1, 2012. I don’t believe I ever knew his exact birthday. That’s assuming the date listed was not an estimate.

You look a lot like your Dad……we never stop missing them and we always remember when we lost them. Poor little Puck. It’s always sad to have them go before their time – when they have a stubborn medical issue it somehow makes it worse to have to say goodbye. I like to think our Angels….human and pet, are ALWAYS keeping an eye on us – in fact I’m SURE they are.

    Hugs, Pam

Aww, sorry to hear about the sad days. Maybe Puck was telling you that his birthday needs to be honoured irrespective of his presence. We always have prawns on Catorze’s big brother Luther’s birthday, which is 27th March.

These kinds of anniversaries never cease to make us sad, though all the good memories we’ve made with our furred and not furred family members does help a lot to ease the pain of those losses.

    Sending hugs your way…❤️🥰
