I decided to put a camera outside our bedroom door to see what Chris is actually doing out there when he is scratching at the door and crying. I forgot to turn on the microphone so I only have the video.

Poor Chris! But he gets A for effort. He doesn’t give up, does he? Floki and Frankie are sound asleep through all this?
Sometimes he gives up and sometimes he cries and scratches for 30 minutes. Sometimes I give up and let him in, which rarely works out for me.

I have never thought to ask. Are Flocki and Frankie in the bedroom with you and Rose? If so, I certainly understand why Chris is so upset! If they are in the bedroom, I suggest locking everyone out and see what happens. Actually he isn’t THAT bad at all….he didn’t appear to be scratching and scratching. I would love to see a video with sound.
Some nights are worse than others. This was a good night. I got one with sound from last night but it is short. I’ll probably post that Saturday.
When I had a room closed off, Ernie scratched at the door and carpet to where he actually pulled the carpet up. It was a mess.

I do feel bad but we need our sleep.
I’ve lucked out. None of my cats, past and present, wanted to sleep with me, though all of them liked to station themselves on the windows behind either bed I might be sleeping in. Might see a bunny or hear an owl….
We had 6 cats at one time and 5 of them would sometimes line up on the bed alongside me so that my wife and I had little room for ourselves. None of them bothered me like Chris does though.
Considering Persians are supposed to be friendly, clingy cats, mine never fit the pattern 100%.

Oh, yeah. If I don’t leave my bedroom door cracked, I hear the whining & scratching. When I open the door, I immediately get the one, whiney meow that says “You locked me out!” 🙀😿😫😭
So, door stays cracked and he comes when he wants to. I wouldn’t close my door if it wasn’t for Ken & his late night TV habits.
They’re furry children. I wish yours didn’t have such a fascination with your head. The most Ollie does is wake me with snoring.
