Here is another photo from our time in West Virginia. Frankie spent a lot of time lying on the heat grate and here Chris has joined him.
I like this photo even though the technical quality is not good. There is a slight blue cast and Frankie seems to have lost his color. Also, notice the paw prints in the foreground. Someone either got their feet wet before getting in the litterbox or they stepped in their own pee before burying it. There was a trail leading from upstairs all the way through the house downstairs.

Floor heating vents are the best!
They sure are.
We want a heat grate! We have radiators, and you can’t sit on those. Purrs, Snoops and Kommando Kitty
You could probably lay in front of a radiator. I bet that would be nice and warm.
The heater vents are popular at my house, too, but they are perfect-sized for one cat only. No sharing. Absolutely no sharing.
I guess we were lucky that it is big enough for two.
Dad says those floors and that heat grate remind him of his old house up in Winchester, NH. That looks like the perfect place for felines to congregate and get warm!
I bet if people that lived there 100 years ago had pets they would have done the same thing.
