Kitten Season

While I was at the SPCA on Friday for my shift as a cat counselor, I noticed we had more kittens than I had ever seen at one time. There were two separate rooms, normally used for isolation, dedicated to kittens as well as a couple of kittens in separate cages.

Kittens are adopted quickly so many of these are probably gone already, however, there was a room closed off that I assume had more kittens that were not ready for adoption yet, so I’m sure if you would like to adopt a kitten, now would be a good time.

Our shelter is also full of kittens but there are also THREE ten year old cats who have been there for a year – waiting……waiting…….you’re right – the kittens will go quickly but I sure wish the seniors had a forever.

I totally agree with you and I’m very much respect people that adopt older cats. We have a 16 year old cat that has been there for about three weeks. I know that’s relatively short but he’s stuck in a small cage by himself. I feel very bad for him.

I like them all but I am biased, the kitty in picture 2 looks similar to my own cat, so, the kitty would get bonus points for having a similar look 😀 Very cute.

After adopting Snoops when she was a couple of years old, I think I’ll stick with adult cats. They seem to really appreciate being adopted
