If you read Monday’s Post you know I tried bringing two catnip plants into the house. That was a major failure but you have to learn somehow. I decided to keep the plants outside and just bring a few leaves in at a time, which I did Tuesday. That went better from my perspective but I’m sure the cats preferred the entire plants. Plus, as usual, Chris spoiled it for Floki and Frankie.
Naturally, the silver lining seemed smaller and the dark cloud bigger when I went outside yesterday and saw this.

It seems that a stray cat or other animal found my plants and decided to dig out the dirt. Heavy sigh.
I had this in the living room… why oh why id they start such a thing after they ignored the houseplants for months? …I sigh with you…
It’s a mystery. π
Bet that stray kitty thinks you are a pretty good guy to provide that nip and will be back for seconds! MOL.. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I hope he or she is a bit more gentle next time.

Chris you sure are a character but I agree nip is the best thing in the world
It sure seems to be.
Chris is like Binga when it comes to catnip. We have a built-in planter full of nip, and the neighborhood cats indulge in it every so often. But that’s okay, since there’s enough to go around.
I guess there’s a catnip horder in every family. π
I can’t wait to see what Take Three is……………….. π
Hugs, Pam
Ha! Whatever it is I’m sure Chris will make it entertaining.
Mom tried catnip plants outside but the neighborβs cat decided to wreck it.
The Florida Furkids
It’s starting to sound like catnip needs to be grown in a cage.
Aargh. Mr. Bossy Pants! Chris can’t wonder why he ends up alone after all… And those plants may just be doomed.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Yep. Just like the cat grass I buy every now and then.
You’re too funny Chris! Hey, one time the Dad had some outside catnip growing in hanging posts but some teenagers stole it, they must have thought it was human nip.
That seems like an odd Target for teenagers.
Bet all the strays are gonna come looking for nip at your house.
Now they will go to one house for food and another for nip.
Forgot to mention the reason I use a hanging basket for my outdoor catnip is because ANY outsie cat will discover it on the ground. Learned THAT lesson after the first year of planting it in the flowerbed.
That may be my next step if it becomes a problem.
Your kitties look happy. And apparently the outdoor kitties are too π
I aim to please. π
Is Frankie getting blonder? It seems like his coloring has looked somewhat closer to Chris’s at some points (or it might be that I inadvertently changed the brightness on my screen π )
Frankie has always been lighter than Chris. Chris has gotten darker over the years but I don’t think Frankie has changed.
Ahh. So I had it backwards.
Sometimes I post old photos of Tigger which could be confusing. Tigger was darker than Chris when we adopted Chris but now Chris looks like the same color as Tigger was back then.
