I don’t know why but Frankie and Chris are not bothered by the vacuum. Puck, on the other hand, hides under the bed at the mere sight of the vacuum cleaner. That is difficult to understand since Puck was exposed to vacuums as a very young kitten.

I used to think that all cats were afraid of the vacuum, I even created a design related to that (see here). Sure, Chris was not afraid, but Chris has never been an ordinary cat. Last year I posted a video of Chris ignoring me while I vacuumed around him. At the time I thought it was impressive because cats run and hide when the see the vacuum cleaner. Don’t they? I’m not so sure anymore.
Recently I was vacuuming the patio and both Chris and Frankie seemed completely oblivious to the noisy vacuuming going on around them.
Where was Puck while this was going on? Under the bed. Maybe it’s a gold cat thing.

Sam hated the vacuum until he became hard of hearing then he just sat there and watched it. I think he was grateful that all of a sudden the thing made no noise (haha).

I would hate to lose my hearing but the silver lining would be the peace and quiet.
Oh dear. I admit it. I have to raise my hoof. That creature is scary. I usually squeal and run to my room when I see that monster come out. In fact, I think it’s one of the reasons mom/dad put hardwood down in most of the house. I think they may be scared of it too. XOXO – Bacon
Sweeping takes longer than vacuuming but I have done that at times because I didn’t want to disturb Puck.
I know! You should hear my mom fussing about sweeping. Oh dear – it’s hilarious at times. I need to video tape her one day for sure. XOXO – Bacon

Brave kitties. I am afraid of a million things, but I am not afraid of the vacuum. Mom says it’s weird.

Because Binga is old, she can’t hear so well anymore, so the vacuum doesn’t bother her.
It seems Sammy had the same issue.
None of us like the vacuum. We steer clear of it whenever it comes out.
