Our homeowners’ association consists of six houses and four empty lots that we all own a share of. Often, but not always, my walk with Frankie consists of a circle around the property. Our house is on a corner lot near the street. At the end of the alley, there is an open area and a large wall that separates the next neighborhood. Whenever we reach that end, Frankie always rubs his face on a stick that our neighbors use to hold up one of their plants.

I have read that this is another way to mark their territory besides the obvious method. We did see the girl cat named Frankie in that area yesterday, so maybe that is why he does it.

**hey, babe! I was here!** 😹 Frankie, you are too cool, little buddy!
😊
Yep – he’s marking “his” territory alright……Reminding the girlie Frankie that HE’s around!
Hugs, Pam
I think that is exactly what he is doing.
Frankie is like The Lion King: everything that his nose touches belongs to him.
Exactly. By the way, if you tried to contact me on Bad Cat Chris’s Facebook, I couldn’t read it.
Yes, I did! Oh dear, I wonder why that could be? Was the message just empty?
I was notified there was a message but when I clicked on the notification it didn’t bring me to a message.
Yes, he was leaving her a flirty message!
😊
He’s putting his good vibes message on there for Miss Frankie to read.
I think that is right.
Sounds like he is marking his territory. 🙂
He wants to make sure the girl cat knows he was there.
We sometimes talk about the “doggie news” the pups leave, but seldom about the cats. Cats do leave their scent as a mark, though most don’t realize it’s what they are doing.
I think Frankie knows what he is doing.
Frankie is leaving his calling card!
He likes doing that. 😊
Maybe he’s trying to tell her he’s a sophisticated gentleman
She’s not impressed.
