Frankie encountered a couple of squirrels on a palm tree this morning, who seemed to take great pleasure in taunting Frankie. they came down very low and I was certain Frankie would try to catch one of them, but he didn’t. He even showed a submissive posture at one point.
I was fascinated by watching the squirrels. My face came within twelve inches of one of the squirrels a few times, but the squirrel had no fear. I did put my hand out once, but they avoided that. I found the most interesting aspect was watching the interactions between the two squirrels. Because of the angle, it’s not easy to see, but one squirrel would sometimes put its front paws on top of the other squirrel. This video is a little long, but I think it is worth watching.

HA! You both were having a really fun time!
It was cool to see.
frankie you are our hero…

This is funny, but I am amazed at how chill Frankie is. **I’m not going anywhere. You have to come down sooner or later** πΉ
I was surprised he was not aggressive like he was when a dog visited our home.
Cute video….I think the one squirrel tried his best to “scare” off Frankie so he could come down from the tree – then went back for reinforcements with his friend (which also didn’t work to get Frankie away from the landing zone)……HAHAHA Very cute video. Frankie was obviously entertained AND I think you were too!!
Hugs, Pam
It was enjoyable to watch. I was surprised the squirrels were not afraid of me or Frankie.
Brave squirrels! Frankie did a good job holding his ground.
I think his desire to kill squirrels is not what it used to be.
ha! Love the cat… fun share here Charles.
Thank you.
Very brave squirrels.
I have developed a respect for squirrels these last few years.
It looks like they were simply trying to chase him away, they like to have an escape route.
They would have been more successful if they stayed out of sight and waited for him to get bored.
I wonder if someone has been training them. They seem pretty fearless.
I don’t know. I thought about that. Maybe someone is feeding them.
