I think it’s funny that they draw attention to themselves in front of animals who want to eat them.

Yep, when walking Mr. Cal, the dog, on Sunday mornings, once in a while a squirrel will decide to really give him what for. They are delightful clowns, those tree rats.
They are funny, and smart. I had a bird feeder stuck to a window but the squirrels kept climbing the screens to get to it. To save my screens, I removed them but the squirrels still found a way to get up to a nearby window and then work their way across like some kind of rock climbing daredevil.
Oh God, the squirrels! They are SO arrogant. Not as bad as the parakeets, but still complete arseholes.
Mockingbirds come to my mind. Years ago Chris would sit on the bed and look out the window but a mockingbird kept hoovering outside the window trying to intimidate him. I took pictures of it. I can’t look now but if you search for mockingbird on my blog it will probably show up.
Probably thought it was his tree. 🙂
