Rose ordered See’s candy for Easter and put some in a gift bag for our next-door neighbor. She then asked me to bring the candy to her house the day before Easter.
After arriving with the candy, my neighbor invited me inside. She is our neighbor who also has a cat named Frankie, but her cat is female. When we first met our new neighbor, her cat hid in the bedroom, so we never saw what she looked like. This time, she was out in the same room with me. She kept her distance, but she did allow me to open the door so she could escape outside.
When I returned home, I took Frankie for a walk. Our neighbor saw us, opened her door, and invited Frankie inside. Frankie gladly accepted and investigated her house as if he had just bought the place. The back door was open, but the glass storm door was closed. Frankie looked out the door and saw her Frankie looking back at him. It was every bit the look that you would imagine and then some.
The next day, while walking Frankie, our neighbor again invited us inside. This time, her Frankie was also inside. I think she wanted the cats to get to know each other since they have seen each other through the screens many times. I was not sure that was a good idea but Frankie was all for it so I figured that there was a small chance they would like each other. After all, it was a male and a female, not two males.
It did not go well. Frankie was eager to meet her and walked to where she was behind the sofa, but she growled and hissed before running to the other side of the room, near the front door. That is when I took my phone out and started recording.
I think Frankie is getting too comfortable visiting the neighbor’s house. This was him yesterday.

I love your Frankie peering inside the door! πΉ
I thought that was funny.
Well your Frankie looked quite at home BUT her Frankie was a little reluctant to get to know her neighbors!
Hugs, Pam
My Frankie is a lot like Chris was. Neither shy about taking over.
Your Frankie, ready for the “meet ‘n’ greet” … date night? Ms Frankie, “leave me alone, why can’t ya leave me alone …?”
π
dood…gurlz can bee… sassee !!! π !!
Yeah, that is one word you could use.
What a good neigbour you are, FrankieπΈTell your daddy to be careful when the neigbors strike back…MOL…Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of youπΎπ½π
Thanks. π
What a character he is!!!!!! He DOES act like he just bought the place!! lol!!!!! This is just too funny!
π
Your Frankie is very outgoing, hers is a bit more withdrawn. They may need several more meetings before they are ready to “sing Kumbaya” as my friend Ms. G puts it.
I think it took a month of living together before Chris and Frankie tolerated each other.
That’s so cute with your Frankie, love that last photo!
Frankie is a social butterfly π¦
How cool they have the same name. π
It is quite a coincidence.
Your Frankie seems to know no fear!
It must be a ginger cat thing
Ms Frankie’s new nickname is Ms Hissy Spit!!
Your Frankie sure is easy going!
That pic of him peering into the neighbor’s house, he seems to be thinking, I wonder if Ms Hissy Spit wants to come out and play!
That is probably exactly what he was thinking.
Aww. Your Frankie looks like he’d like to meet her. It’s like Sgt Stripes with the lady cats here. The only one who’s friendly to him is Gypsy.
I hope over time she loosens up.
She probably will if no one rushes her.
That would be nice.
