Oh, the joys of a cat bolting outside when you don’t want them to! Louis Catorze has done it 86,963 times. Sometimes we open the front door and he bolts INDOORS (when we had no idea he was out).
There were times when Frankie went out on one of his adventures and, after checking on him several times, I forgot he was outside. Then, when I opened the door, I would be surprised to see him. He would give me a talking to about leaving him out there so long.
Yes, we’ve sometimes forgotten about Catorze, too, and not remembered until one of the neighbours has had to escort him back.
It’s not good when the neighbors get involved. 🙂
Embarrassingly, it’s usually the same neighbour. That’s how That Neighbour got his nickname, because I say to friends, “And guess who ended up bringing him home?” and they reply, “Not that neighbour again?”
😊
Outdoors is dangerous but some of them love it so much you just can’t deny them. Mine have been indoor only from tiny kittens so don’t know better, but I do wish i had a catio.
A catio is great. It is like being outside without actually being outside.
Purrsistence usually pays off!
It sure does.
Never a dull moment! At least one of the boys was on a leash – imagine “herding” two cats outside? LOL
Hugs, Pam
We did it with three cats when we lived by the marina. That is when I learned Frankie can’t be contained and bought the harness for him.
It’s like having small children. Last week Alexander figured out the deadbolt, so he was free-range until we got a combination lock
pretty soon you will need a fingerprint scanner. 🙂
Hmm. Not a bad idea
