Two weeks after we moved into our new home, a woman moved in next door. She saw me walking Frankie, and when I told her his name, she said, “Oh, my cat’s name is Frankie, too.” What are the odds?
Her Frankie is a female tuxedo cat. She is allowed outside without a leash, although I think she spends much of her time inside. We soon learned that her Frankie is timid and retreats when humans were around.
One day, while the cats were in our screened room, I heard cats howling at each other. I walked out to see what was happening and saw girl Frankie near the screen talking to boy Frankie. She quickly retreated and watched us from a distance.

I know this is not a great photo, but I don’t have a close-up picture of her.

Hi there…….Wordpress wanted me to sign in on your blog to comment and wouldn’t take my password for some reason SO – sending a return comment this way just to say I think it’s nice Frankie has a friend to “howl” with now that he’s met Francine. Neighborly behavior perhaps?! Hugs, Pam and Teddy
It is nice for Frankie. Her Frankie is not Francine I believe she is named after Frank Sinatra but I don’t remember why. Maybe she sings good.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Frankie and Frankie…that sounds like a friendship in the making.
I agree. I think they are perfect for each other.
What a coincidence. Let us know if they become friends. A cat that lives across the street from us stays outside. She spends a good deal of her time here, which is fine except for when she comes up the stairs to the catio door. There is always lots of caterwauling between her and whichever of the Kitties Blue spot her. I think that is common. We have several stray cats near our home in West Virginia. I’m sure when we are up there we will encounter a lot of that again.
And if’n it ever came to be … (NOT, we know) … just wondering … what would they name their little family?
Maybe they can start a family band like the Jackson 5 and call them the Frankettes
izza kizmit!!
😊
Well, honestly, I wish her Frankie wasn’t able to wander outside unsupervised.
Yes. There is another unsupervised cat that lives a few houses down on the water side of the alley. A week or so ago that cat, a black cat, got into a shouting match with girl Frankie. When I went out to see what was happening he ran away towards home.
Maybe, with time, they’ll make friends. It can happen.
I hope so. I think our boys need a girl.
That is funny that there are 2 Frankies.
It is quite a coincidence.
Frankie and Frankie is quite the singing duo!
Yes, they are. 🙂 😁
I do hope it becomes a happy coincidence and friendship. Maybe they can date or share walks?
Have a lovely week
ERin
That would be nice.
I think our boys like having a little girl as a neighbor!
I think they need a girl.
Wow. That must be some kind of sign that they were meant to be friends
I think you are right.
Frankie-B and Frankie-G, what fun! Hopefully one day they might just have catversations at inside voice level instead of the yowling level, LOL!!
I think it will eventually happen.
Oh, Frankie’s, let the furriendship started😺Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞
😊
she wanted to see who else was named Frankie!
Maybe she wondered why she kept hearing her name from our house.
lmao!!
