Here is a post from July 2016. Chris wore me down. I never could get rid of the dry food. Even now, we keep dry food out. If I let the bowls go empty, my wife will fill them. While she is filling them, she will say something like this to the cats, “Don’t worry. Your daddy wants to let you starve, but I won’t let that happen.” This, of course, happens when there is still wet food in their bowls.

Feeding is a tough issue…..you want them to eat – they get hungry like we do – but you want them to eat something good for them (like our Moms wanted to do with us!!). In both cases you get worn down and eventually give them something they WILL EAT. LOL
Hugs, Pam
In a way, cat’s are like children who refuse to eat their vegetables.
Oh yea, he nailed the seriously hungry look!
He was good at that.
I’d love to give ours measured amounts of canned food, but my Sweetie is a pushover and just gives ours whatever they want, whenever they want.
Sounds familiar.
I am convinced that cats will go hungry rather than eat something they don’t like. We have one cat who will not eat fish and another who will not eat turkey (and is not fond of chicken) and a third who will only eat beef.
I don’t get it. I make homemade cat food and the only like chicken. If I make it with turkey and you won’t eat it. It’s weird because they’re both birds you would think it would be similar.
I agree. But turkey is more popular with a couple of the cats here. Homemade food should be yummy either way
You would think.
