My wife bought me a new camera for Christmas back in 2009 and let me open it ten days early. I took several photos of our cats to test it out. All except the last photo were taken on December 15, 2009, between 9:12 and 9:24 p.m.
First up is Chris. He’s a little out of focus, but it’s the very first photo taken with a new camera.

Here’s Abbey, who is near Chris on the bed.

Here is Chris again.

Alex and Tigger.

Finally, Chris again.

I was disappointed that I had so few photos of Flash from that time period, but I found one taken the following day. Here is Tigger and his brother Flash.

We lost Flash the following April. Unfortunately, he died young, like our other black cat, Puck.

Takes a while to get used to a new camera (I know that for sure!) but it’s also nice to be able to take really good photos. I’m sure you’re glad you have lots of photos of cats past and present to enjoy forever.
Hugs, Pam
I am glad I have them but I wasn’t blogging back then so I wasn’t as motivated to take photos.
Such sweethearts💗 Glad you found such a lovely photo of your beloved Angels. Double Pawkiss for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞
Thank you.
Nice to have old photos to look back on.
It sure is. Thanks.
Happy once-upon-a-time Christmas Kitties!
I think they were happy.
Chris was so special, he will never be forgotten! He made our hearts so happy.
That’s for sure.
Nice photos…and beautiful memories. I hardly ever use my regular camera anymore and rely on my phone camera for photo taking.
I do too, mostly but I should start using my good camera more.
Alex has the same markings as Louis Catorze’s buddy Blue the Smoke Bengal.
Alex was Abbey’s brother. Both were white under their fur. You could see it if you pet them backward.
Yes, Blue has the same: bright white fur under a dark layer.
Enjoyed the photos! thanks!
Thank you.
Those were all fun flashbacks.
